Approved by the BBBofC: BOXELITE Fight Gloves Are Cleared for Professional Boxing in Britain

On 21 September 2026, the British Boxing Board of Control confirmed it in writing. BOXELITE Signature MX fight gloves are approved for professional competition.

What the BBBofC is, and why its approval matters

The British Boxing Board of Control has governed professional boxing in Britain since 1929. It licenses the fighters, the referees and the promoters. It also decides which gloves are allowed through the ropes on a professional card.

That last part is the one people forget. A fighter cannot simply turn up with any pair he likes. If the glove is not approved, it does not go on fight night. Every brand you see on British cards had to go through the same door.

Now BOXELITE is through it. The letter names the brand and the model:

"I write to confirm the following competition gloves have been approved by the British Boxing Board of Control. Brand: BOXELITE. Model: Signature MX Fight Gloves."

Three commissions. Three of the toughest rings in the sport.
